Primarily on Facebook, the Lake Cities Run Walk Group has over 3,500 members, is located between Highland Village and Denton, hosts 20-40 training meet-ups each week (something for everyone) a few each day, NEVER charges for anything including the challenges and contests (for cash & prizes), has over 35 professionally designed training routes - distance, hills - YEP! Members also receive discounts on races, running/hiking shoes, apparel and more from most local running stores and online as well. Although mostly on Facebook, the Website is for everyone and has free resources for training, a fantastic At-a-glance race/event calendar for planning out the year and over 150 races listed with links and discount codes.
