About this race
Let's ring in 2027 the way we know best!
The WCRC Hangover Classic features both 10K and 5K road races. Both races start simultaneously from the same line and both finish on the same line (with start and finish chip timing). Both courses are flat and fast – entirely on beachfront roads (no beach running). Given the scenic beachfront location, many participants choose to take a post-race ocean plunge to kick off the New Year. Post-Race Party with music, beer, and plenty of fun at the beach!
This year we will have multiple venues to celebrate!
Pre-race bib pickup will be hosted at the Salisbury Beach Carousel 7 Broadway, Salisbury, MA 01952
https://salisburybeachcarousel.org/ (note that this is the actual historic carousel, and not the bar/lounge)
Post-race, you can come back to the Salisbury Beach Carousel to grab a water, snacks, and your medals if you placed in any of the age group categories. Please also enjoy a ride on the carousel which will be free for anyone with a bib, as well as for children accompanied by a runner with a bib.
Then you can head over to Sin a Loa, where we will have your post race beer, food, and music!
Our friends at the Carousel Lounge will also be open that day, for anyone who wants to ring in another year at the Carousel Lounge before it is gone. There will not be any official activities happening at this venue, but we encourage you to stop in for old times sake.
