On May 30, 2027, you’ll take on a full day of movement, challenge, and time on the trails at Holiday Valley.
Course Description
- Wind Through Nature: Your course winds through Holiday Valley’s wooded slopes, quiet glades, forest single-track, and rolling ridgelines.
- Trail Conditions: Expect a mix of gentle climbs, flowing trail, and peaceful stretches through the woods that make this one of the most enjoyable mountain courses on the UltraTrax calendar.
- Define Your Challenge: Whether you’re here to walk 7 miles or push all the way to 28, the challenge is yours to define.
- Event Time: Complete your goal within the 10-hour event window. How far will you go?
Event Details
- Date: Sunday, May 30, 2027
- Location: Yodeler Lodge, 6758 Holiday Valley Road, Ellicottville, NY
- Start Times: The start line is open between 7am-10am and divided into corrals based on distance:
- 28 milers at 7am
- 21 milers at 7:45am
- 14 milers at 8:30am
- 7 milers at 9:15am
- Event Nature: UltraTrax is not a race, but it is a timed endurance event. You’ll have up to 10 hours to complete your chosen distance.
Bib Pickup Information
- Advanced Mailing: Your bib may be mailed to you in advance or picked up on event morning.
- On-site Pickup: Participants registering after May 10, 2027 must pick up their bib in person.
Ruck Challenge Details
- Personal Equipment: If you registered for a weighted division, you’ll need to bring your own ruck, backpack, or weighted vest.
- Weigh Requirement: Your pack will be weighed before you begin. Everything in the pack counts toward your required weight except perishable food and drinks.
Finish Line Rewards
- Custom Finisher Medal: Finishers will receive a custom UltraTrax finisher medal (Grey Wolf Medal for 28 and 21 milers, Trail Wolf Medal for 14 and 7 milers).
- Event Swag: UltraTrax event T-shirt and UltraTrax patch.
- Additional Perks: Additional swag for weighted divisions.
Post-Event Experience
After your trek, stick around and enjoy the Base Camp atmosphere at Holiday Valley. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, giving you time to recover, refuel, and celebrate with other participants. Friends and family are welcome to join you at Base Camp and enjoy the resort throughout the day.
What to Expect at Holiday Valley
- A Flowing Mountain Course: Travel through Holiday Valley’s wooded terrain on a mix of forest single-track, gentle climbs, and rolling ridgelines.
- A Challenge You Choose: There is no single definition of success at UltraTrax. Walk your first 7 miles, chase 28, or add weight and see what you can carry.
- Support Along the Way: Expect a well-marked course, stocked aid stations, event staff, and a community of people working toward their own goals alongside you.
Parking Information
- Complimentary Parking: Complimentary parking is available onsite at Yodeler Lodge.
- Event Setup: The start and finish are also located at Yodeler Lodge for an easy event-day setup.
- Detailed Information: More detailed arrival, parking, course, and event-day information will be sent as Trek Day gets closer.
