Our Mission

• Foundation Goal: To promote and lead critical awareness, testing, counseling, and research initiatives for the prevention and cure of fatal children's genetic diseases of the brain.
• Funding Achievements: MFRF has raised approximately $3 million for various projects across three pillars.
• Progress: Celebrating advancements in gene therapy patient trials and genetic testing for affected children and families.
• Awareness Campaign: On January 10th, 2027, we will run and walk to raise community awareness and funds for this important cause.

Participation Options

• Sleep In Option: Supports the charity without attending: shirt and finisher medal mailed to you.
• Honor System: Participants are on the honor system to complete the 5K at their convenience.
• Award Eligibility: This option is not eligible for awards or time submissions.

Race Details

• Shirts: Participants will receive a Dry-Fit type shirt.
• Awards: Categories include M/F Overall, M/F under 10, 10-14, 15-19, and then in 10-year increments to 80+.

Packet Pickup

• Location: Runners Edge until Saturday Jan 9th at Noon.
• Address: 3195 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton - 561-361-1950
• Store Hours: Monday - Friday 10-6, Thursday 10-7, Saturday 10-5, Sunday 11-4.
• Race Day Pickup: Available on race morning from 6:30-7:10 am: bibs can be picked up for your group.
