Our Mission

• Foundation Goal: To promote awareness, testing, counseling, and research for prevention and cure of fatal children’s genetic diseases of the brain.
• Funding Achievements: MFRF has raised approximately $3 million across three pillars: Research of Treatments and Cures, Education and Genetic Screening, Care through Nursing School Educational programs.
• Progress: Celebrated advancements in gene therapy trials, education, and genetic testing for affected children and families.
• Ongoing Efforts: Focus on earlier detection and expanding treatment availability.

Event Participation

• Community Engagement: Join us on January 10th, 2027, to raise awareness and funds.
• Sleep In Option: Support the charity without attending: receive your shirt and medal by mail.
• Honor System: Complete the 5K at your leisure: no need to submit a time.
• Awards Eligibility: Not applicable for Sleep In participants.

Shirts and Awards

• Shirts: All participants will receive a Dry-Fit type shirt.
• Awards: M/F Overall, M/F under 10, 10-14, 15-19, and 10-year age groups up to 80+.

Packet Pick Up

• Location: Runners Edge until Saturday Jan 9th at Noon, address: 3195 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton - 561-361-1950.
• Hours: Monday - Friday 10-6, Thursday 10-7, Saturday 10-5 or Sunday 11-4.
• Race Day Pickup: Available starting at 6:30-7:10 am.
• Group Pickup: You can pick up bibs for others in your group.
