CASA Superhero Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us for the CASA Superhero 5K fun run/walk and 10K run through historic Leavenworth, KS, followed by a kids' superhero race (100 yards).

👶 About CASA

The CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) concept is based on the belief that every child has the right to a safe, permanent home.

• Purpose: Unlike attorneys and social workers, the CASA volunteer speaks exclusively for the child's best interests.
• Case Management: By handling only one or two cases at a time, the CASA volunteer can devote the necessary time to each case.
• Investigation: The volunteer talks with the child, parents, family members, neighbors, school officials, doctors, and others involved in the child's life.
• Reporting: They review all records and documents about the child and submit a formal report to the court recommending placement.

💵 Entry Fees

• 5K/10K Entry: $40 through July 31st
• 5K/10K Entry: $45 Aug 1st through August 26th
• Superhero Run (kids 12 & under): $10
