Event Overview
- Experience: For 12 years, this has been the race of choice for your pre-Halloween fun! The famous Cats & Bats 5K is your spot for #HalloweeninAberdeen.
- Date: Saturday, October 31st.
- Start Time: 8:00 am.
- Location: Festival Park, Aberdeen, MD.

- Course Certification: USATF Certified Course - view map here.
- Participation: We are planning for a Group, In-Person 5K and also have a Virtual 5K component.
- Packet Pickup: Begins on race morning at 6:30 am under the pavilion.
- Details: Early packet pickup will be announced.
Registration Fees
- 5K - Live Run or Walk: $30 per person until September 30, 2026. Includes chip timing, shirt, race medal, post-race food and drinks, and awards. Price increases to $35 from October 1, 2025. Race day registration, if available, is $40.
- Virtual 5K Race: $35 per person. Complete the distance at your own pace. Race bib, shirt, and medal will be mailed to participants.
- One Mile Fun Run: $25 per person for an untimed mile. Race shirt and medal included. Price increases to $30 on October 1. Race day registration is $35.
- Weather Policy: This is a Rain or Shine event! No refunds will be offered for weather or other reasons.
Additional Information
- Packet Pickup Info: Race day packet pickup starts at 6:30 am in Festival Park. A mailing option is also available for $8.00.
- Custom Event Shirt: Register by 10/15 to guarantee your shirt size choice.
- Special Medal: All participants receive a Custom Commemorative Finisher's Medal.
- Beneficiary: Proceeds support The National PTSD Foundation, aiding local first responders.

- Overall Winners: Medals awarded to overall Male and Female winners.
- Age Group Awards: Awards announced for the top three in various age categories.
