Thanksgiving Day 5k/1 Mile in Corolla at The Whalehead Club
Important Dates
- Packet Pick-Up: Pre race day packet pick-up and late registration is available from 3 - 6:30 PM Wednesday November 25, 2026 at The GYM Located at 3712 N. Croatan Hwy Kitty Hawk, NC 27949.
- Race Day Check-In: Late race day check in is available onsite at the start/finish line from 6:30 - 7:45 AM in front of the Whalehead Club (1100 Club Rd Corolla, NC 27927).
- Race Schedule: 8 am Fun Run, 8:15 am 5k Race Start, 8:50-9:30 am Thanksgiving-Post Race hospitality, and awards.
- Field Limit: 5k/1 Mile: 500, Fun Run: 100.
Registration Details
- Race Fee: Adults $50, Military $45, 17 Under $45, Fun Run $30 (10 & Under 1/4 Mile).
- Included: Long Sleeve, Uni-fit, Cotton T-shirt, unique finisher medal, chip timing, and post-race light breakfast and snacks.
- Awards: Top 3 Male/Female overall, Top 3 Overall Masters M/F (Over 40), and 1st place in each age group at 5-year increments.
Event Participation
This event is a family and community event in the spirit and fellowship of the holiday. Bicycle lead, Course Marshals, Turn Arrows, and a water stop are provided at the Half-way. Open to Runners, Walkers, Wheel Chair participants, and Stroller/Jogger Participants (Service Dogs only please). In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we will be collecting canned goods/non-perishable food items for the local Food Bank.
