Charlottesville Turkey Trot 5k

🦃 Event Overview

Come join us for the 2025 Charlottesville Turkey Trot 5k on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 27th at 9:00 am. The race conveniently starts and finishes next to Albemarle High School and the course is held on the surrounding neighborhood roads consisting of flat stretches and mild rolling hills with a total elevation gain of 133 feet. Ample parking will be available at Albemarle High School, Journey Middle School, and Greer Elementary.

🍂 Beneficiary Information

• Food Banks: Our race beneficiaries are the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, both providing critical food resources to those in need.
• Community Service: The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank services the Central Virginia area and is an affiliate of the national food bank, Feeding America.
• Local Impact: Loaves & Fishes is the largest distributor of food from the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank in Charlottesville, helping families and individuals with free groceries.
• Monthly Assistance: A third of visiting households come twice a month for food assistance.

🏃 Registration Information

Race registration is $35 beginning Sept 1, then $40 on October 25, then $42 on November 25, and $48 after 6pm on November 26. Registration includes a soft technical race t-shirt comfortable for running or wearing casually while supplies last. Sign up by November 1 to guarantee a race shirt.

🏆 Team Registration

Sign up as an individual racer, or race as a team. Create teams within your work colleagues, family, neighbors or sports team and strive for the 4 fastest cumulative times on your team and bragging rights for the rest of the year!

⏱️ Race Details

• Timing: Thanks to Blue Ridge Timing for providing chip timing for the Charlottesville Turkey Trot course.
• Packet Pickup: Hosted by Connect Church.
• No Refunds: No Race Refunds or Deferrals!
• No Pets: No dogs on the race course.

🚸 Stroller Guidelines

Strollers allowed only in the last wave. No exceptions! If everyone with strollers does not start in the last wave, this option will not be possible in the future.

🚑 Medical Support

Local Albemarle EMT medical services will be on site. We are grateful for their volunteer help and appreciate all those who will be helping to safely guide you throughout your race experience.

📅 Packet Pickup Details

• Date & Time: Tuesday, Nov. 25 (3-6pm) at Connect Church, 2080 Lambs Rd, (across from Albemarle High School).
• Date & Time: Wednesday, Nov. 26 (1-5pm) at Connect Church, 2080 Lambs Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
• Race Day: Packet pickup on race morning will be open from 7:45am-8:30am at Albemarle High School's main track entrance.

🕒 Late Registration

Late registration is available on Wed., Nov 26, 6pm thru Thurs., Nov. 27th 8:30am. Late registration price increases to $48. We recommend registering online before arriving at Packet Pickup to make your check-in faster.

🏅 Virtual Option

Run your Turkey Trot 5k anywhere between 11/27/2025-11/30/2025 until 5:00pm. Sign up by Nov 1 to guarantee a t-shirt in your size.
