Significant Changes in Veterans Race Location & Race Route:

May 12, 2025

As a result of the Mill St construction and detoured traffic routes, the Freedom 4 Veterans Race on May 24 will be relocated to the Clio City Park at Pavilion #3, and will NOT be held at Clio Veterans Memorial Park. This modification is made with the safety of participants, residents, and volunteers in mind.

• Parking: Accessible at Clio City Park and Clio Middle School
• Patience: Your patience as we navigate this transition is appreciated.

📅 Event Schedule

• Packet Pick Up: Friday, May 23, 4pm-6pm at Clio City Park
• Race Day: Saturday, May 24 at Clio City Park
• Registration: 7:30am late registration
• Start Time: 9am for all races

👟 Race Events

Come and enjoy various events from Run/Walk a 4 mile course or walk a 1 mile course around the community of Clio. The 4 mile route travels in the community of Clio and on the bike path. All the proceeds help fund five local non-profits helping children and families. Race begins and ends at Veterans Memorial Park. Participants will receive a medal and race t-shirt.

This year we’re excited to announce a New Race at the Freedom 4 Veterans Race!!

A 1 Mile Hero Race benefiting Veterans and those living with intellectual disabilities.

The Clio Can Do Freedom 4 Veterans Race is partnering with Xceptional Heroes for a ONE MILE HERO RACE! XH is a nonprofit organization facilitating social, recreational and skill building opportunities for adults living with intellectual disabilities throughout Genesee County. Join us and walk or run to support our HEROES!

💵 Registration Details

This is the first race in the Clio Can-Do Race Series! You may register for all 3 races and receive a $5 discount!

• Race Date: Saturday, May 24th, 2025
• Starting Time: The 4 Mile Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk start at 9:00 AM.
• Medals: All participants will receive a medal if registered by Sunday, May 11th.
• Checks Payable To: Youth Health and Fitness Race

💰 Race Info and Pricing

Register for the race in two ways:

• Economy: $15 - Receive a bib, race food, and qualify for the age level and overall awards.
• All Inclusive: $27 (ADULT) & $22 (18 AND UNDER) - Economy option + race t-shirt + race medal
• 1 Mile Family Walk: $20 (race t-shirt)

MARCH 1: The price will bump up respectively to $20 (ECONOMY), $32 (ADULT) & $27 (18 AND UNDER) until the day of the race.

DAY OF THE RACE: The price will increase $5 to $25 (ECONOMY), $37 (ADULT) & $32 (18 AND UNDER).

• Runners: Age groups from 12 & under to 75 & over.
• Walkers: Age groups from 19 & under to 80 & over.
