BAG WARS – FREE COMMUNITY EVENT
12 noon @ Butte Trailhead Parking Lot.
Bag Wars is a team-based endurance and strategy challenge built around teamwork, load management, and grit. This is a FREE community event designed to bring people together, meet new training partners, and push limits in a fun, supportive environment.
No experience required. Just show up ready to work.
EVENT FORMAT
Participants will be split into teams of 6–8
The event runs for 90 minutes
Teams operate from a central base in a parking lot connected to a 0.75-mile trail
THE CHALLENGE (ROUNDS)
Bag Wars is completed in rounds.
Each round consists of:
100 lbs of total weight transported
– Carried up the trail and back
100 total burpees
– Completed by the team before the next round begins
HOW TEAMS MOVE THE WEIGHT
Teams may send as many members as they want per trip
Weight can be split across multiple carriers or stacked on fewer carriers
Multiple weight increments will be available
Teams decide how to deploy members and weight each round based on their strategy
A round is only complete once:
The full 100 lbs has gone up and back, and
The team completes 100 burpees
SCORING
Each completed round = 1 point
Teams may complete as many rounds as possible within the 90-minute time cap
The team with the most completed rounds wins
