SATURDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 24, 2026... IT'S NOT A RUN, IT'S AN EXPERIENCE!

The South Padre Island Muzicians Run 5k/10k is making running fun by infusing the course with LIVE Mariachis along the course about every half mile and rewarding participants with tacos, beer & margaritas at the finish!

Participation

• Inclusive Event: Everyone is invited to participate in this fun run/walk
• Categories: Speed demons, casual runners, and walkers
• Themed Event: Our 5k/10K will now be a timed chipped event on Dia De Los Muertos
• After Party: Enjoy a Mariachi After Party after the race

Event Details

Event Date and Location: SATURDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 24, 2026 at 33261 State Park Road 100, South Padre Island, Texas 78597. The event and the start/finish will take place at the Beach Waterpark.

• Early Bird Pricing: Price varies from $36 to $54 between February 2026 to October 2026
• Race Day: If not sold out, 5K & 10K: $69 / 1 Mile: $45
• Shirt Size: Register prior to October 3rd to guarantee your shirt size
• No Refund Policy: No refunds on registrations: transfers incur a $10 charge

Race Day Schedule

• 10:30 am: Expo, Packet Pick-Up & Same Day Registration
• 4:50 pm: Announcements & National Anthem
• 5:00 pm: 5k/10k/1Mile Start Time
• 6:30 pm: Awards Ceremony

Expo & Packet Pick-Up

Pick up your race packet and enjoy the Expo from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm at Beach Waterpark. It is free and open to the public.

Parking

Beach Waterpark offers FREE parking: arrive early for the best spots.

Courses

The fun run has flat out-and-back courses starting about one hour before sunset, with a course open time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Go fast if you’d like, but feel free to enjoy the music!

Costumes & Attire

Dress in your favorite running gear or themed costumes. Ensure they are safe for running!

Awards

Age Group Awards and Overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be recognized at approximately 6:30pm.

Post Race Party

After the run, enjoy a free taco, margarita, or beer while listening to local music.

Additional Information

• Weather Policy: The event will be rain or shine, but severe weather may cause delays or postponement.
• Alcohol Policy: Drink responsibly and bring your ID to be served alcohol.
• Family-Friendly: Kids are welcome at the after party: no pets allowed.
• Safety Measures: There will be a sag vehicle for those needing assistance on the course.
