Join us on October 10, 2026 at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Las Vegas, NV, to enjoy the stunning views of Red Rock Canyon while helping us preserve and protect your beautiful public lands!
Tortoise Trot 5K Walk/Run
- Course: A 5k-ish trail run/walk starting and finishing at the Visitor Center, the scenic Tortoise Trot course gives you a 360 degree view of one of Southern Nevada’s most spectacular vistas.
- Family-Friendly: Part road, part trail, this event encompasses the Moenkopi loop and will be scenic and fun for the whole family.
- Age Requirement: Participants 5 to 11 years old must be accompanied by an adult for safety. No on-course jogging strollers or dogs are permitted.
- Registration Limit: The run is not timed and is limited to 300 runners or walkers, so register early to save your spot for a memorable morning in the canyon!
Tortoise Trail Run (17K)
- New Challenge: New this year, the Tortoise Trail Run is a 17K trail run starting and finishing at the Visitor Center, designed for runners looking for a longer challenge.
- Scenic Course: The scenic course features rugged desert trails, portions of the scenic drive, and expansive views of Red Rock Canyon.
- For Runners Only: This event is for runners only and is not timed, but participants should plan to finish within the 3-hour time limit.
- Participation Limit: For safety, no jogging strollers or dogs are permitted. Participation is limited to 50 runners, so register early to secure your spot for this exciting inaugural run in the canyon!
