Race Overview

• Favorite Event: Mt. Airy Ridge Run is a perennial favorite, featuring extensive trails.
• Park Size: Mt. Airy Forest covers a massive 1,469.9 acres, larger than Central Park.
• Course Experience: Runners will enjoy a wilderness experience with lush evergreens, hardwoods, meadows, rivers, and challenging climbs.
• Race Distances: There will be a two lap race (10.6 miles) and a one lap race (5.4 miles), both starting at 8:30 AM.

Categorization

• Series Event: This is the Third leg of the Dirt Days Trail Series with separate scoring for each event.
• Trekker Category: Added for participants needing extra time, starting at 8:00 AM with a time recorded.
• New for 2026: A Trekker category for the 5.4 event has also been added.

The Course

• Race Details: The two lap race (10.6 miles) and the one lap race (5.4 miles) will be run on a counter-clockwise loop.
• Scoring: Each event will be scored separately and contribute to Series points.

Awards and Prizes

• Awards: Age-Graded awards will be given.
• Door Prizes: Randomly drawn, including one grand prize (must be present to win).

• Cost: Trail Series shirts available for $20 with registration or at the venue.

Registration Fee

• Fee: $23.50 pre-registration per race, online registration only.
• Discount: Kids 14 and under will receive a $5 discount at checkout.

Race Day Registration

• Packet Pick Up: No early packet pick up: check in on race day is from 6:30 am to 8:15 am.
