The Race to End the Cycle is a fundraiser for Called to Care, but most importantly, it's a chance to raise awareness and community support for children and their families in foster care. We must all work together as a community to serve and support our children and families.
The family friendly obstacle course will open up at 9:00 and can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities. Each zone brings awareness to the obstacles that a child will face in their journey through foster care.
Flat Tire - foster care is a deflating reality for 1,800 children in our area. Transportation to different cities for family visits, therapy, and court dates are a huge obstacle for many families.
The Haul - many children begin their foster care journey by packing up the few things they own into a trash bag.
The Web - laws and policies can be hard to navigate for foster families
Ups and Downs - the hurdles of foster care are easier to overcome with community support
The Balancing Act - helping children and teens feel seen and supported can bring back a glowing reality after a time of trauma and loss
The final zone will be the "Home Zone" celebrating the permanency of a child having their forever home. The Home Zone will contain mini golf, axe throwing, a skating rink and more!
You and your friends can also compete for our Village Champion Award by putting together the largest team! If you don't see your church/group listed in the drop down then "Create a team" and share the unique link! Bring out your friends and family to enjoy a morning of fun and games all for an amazing cause.
Concessions will also be available for purchase, and the Camp Rock Horse Show will also be available on the campgrounds!
