About this race
Race Update
- Rain Delay: Due to expected rain during our original start time, we are delaying today's Color Run. Check-in will begin at 8:30AM, and the run will start at 9:30AM. Thank you for understanding - we want everyone to have a safe and fun event! Volunteers, please arrive at 8 a.m.
- Parking: Parking opens at 7:00 a.m. Please use the map pin provided for the parking area and look for signs when you arrive.
- Registration: Everyone should come to the registration table when you arrive — even if you pre-registered — to pick up your color for the start of the event. Registration will also be available onsite the morning of the event through the app.
- Cashless Event: This is a cashless event. Please wear clothes and shoes that can handle the color.
Important Information
- Gates: Gates close at 8:30 a.m. for the safety of our participants.
- Staff Parking: Staff should park at the EverFun parking area.
- Weather: Rain or shine.
- Join Us: We can’t wait to see everyone!
Event Details
- Date & Time: Saturday, May 2, 2026 • 8:30 a.m. • Evergreen Municipal Park
- Registration Fee: Registration is just $10 to participate. 12 and Under with a Paid Adult is $5.
- Shirt Registration: Want the official race t-shirt? Registration + shirt is $25.
- Complimentary Registration: Reid State students receive complimentary registration thanks to grant support.
Registration Deadline
- Shirt Deadline: To receive your shirt in time for race day, you must register by April 17 at noon.
- Post-Deadline Pickup: Individuals who register after that time can pick up their shirts at the college when notified.
- Support Initiative: Every step supports the Breaking Free Initiative at Reid State Community College.
- Background: This initiative promotes healthy relationship behaviors and communication skills.
Age & Safety
- Family-Friendly: The Breaking Free 5K and Color Run is family-friendly. All ages are welcome in the 1-Mile Fun Run.
- Minimum Age: The 5K has a suggested minimum age of 8, and participants under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Waivers: Participants under 18 must have a signed parent or guardian waiver.
- Color Safety: Participation in color zones is discouraged for children under 5 and individuals with respiratory sensitivities.
