🎉 Event Overview
El Tour de Tucson and Run Tucson are excited to bring you the 3rd Annual El Tour 5k Run/Walk, in the heart of lively Downtown Tucson.
- Join the Fun: We expect over 9,000 bike riders and 1,000 in the 5k.
- Dates: Mark your calendars for the exciting El Tour Expo & Fiesta festivities on Thursday, November 20 and Friday, November 21, with the bike and run on Saturday, November 22nd.
- Family Friendly: Perfect for the active family -- ride the Tour or walk or run the 5k.
- Finisher Medals: Every finisher in this chip-timed 5K will receive a souvenir medallion as they cross the finish line.
🌆 Course Details
- Route: You can walk the 3.1 mile Downtown course or race it, with overall winners and age-group winners receiving gift cards to Fleet Feet Tucson.
- Start Time: The 5K will start at the El Tour start line at 7:15 am.
- Finish Line: The finish is back near the Convention Center, at El Parque de San Cosme, just two blocks from the start line and expo.
- Expo Fiesta: Enjoy exhibits, demos, celebrity signings, food trucks, live entertainment and the Dragoon Brewing Beer Garden!
🙌 Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers Always Welcome: Don't wanna' run but still want to be part of the fun? Sign up to volunteer here! You can be a course monitor, hand out water, or hand out finisher medals.
📅 Event Week Schedule
- Expo Dates: Thursday, November 20, Noon – 8:00 pm and Friday, November 21, Noon – 8:00 pm, Convention Center.
- Saturday Schedule: 6:00 am - 7:00 am, Convention Center next to starting line on Cushing Street.
- Packet Pickup: All in-person registration at the Expo will be done online using the RunSignup platform.
- Patience Appreciated: Expect crowds, so please be patient and kind to volunteers while picking up your packet.
🏁 Race Day Schedule
- 6:00 am - 7:00 am: Packet pickup and bathrooms at the Convention Center.
- 7:15 am: Start 5k Run/Walk on Cushing Street.
- Finish Line: Finish at El Parque de San Cosme, near San Cosme Chapel.
- Post-Race: Head over to the Convention Center for live music, the beer garden and other day-long activities.
🏆 Awards and Treats
Finisher medals will be awarded to all finishers by GroGirlsGro volunteers, and finish line treats will include bananas and oranges provided by AAA Arizona.

- Fun for Runners: Fast and flat course with neighborhood support will lead to fast times.
- Fun for Walkers: Enjoy a 3.1 mile journey through beautiful Barrio Viejo and Armory Park neighborhoods.
