• Annual Event: The Crayola Classic is held each year on the Saturday before Memorial Day.
• Sponsor: The event is sponsored by New Day Mississippi (501c3) and provides clothes and school supplies to Region 8 kids in Rankin County.
• Impact: These are the neediest of children in Rankin County and oftentimes, New Day MS is their only means of clothing and supplies for school.
• Volunteer Driven: The race is operated totally by volunteers and nearly 100% of the money raised is spent to purchase clothing and school supplies.

💖 In Memory of Emile and Brooke Craig

• Honoring Legacy: The race is named in honor of Brooke and Emile Craig, great supporters of the cause.
• Brooke's Passion: Emile's wife, Brooke, lost her battle with cancer on January 3, 2022, and was passionate about helping "Emile’s Kids".
• Shared Mission: Both Emile and Brooke’s compassion for children continues through the “Emile & Brookes Kids” nonprofit.
• Enduring Impact: Their legacy and dedication will live on through this event.

🏅 Race Details

• Race Options: Participants can choose from a 5k walk, 5k run, 10k run/walk, and a kid's fun run.
• Location: The race will take place at the Clyde Muse Center on the Hinds CC campus in Pearl, MS.
• Food and Drinks: There will be plenty of food and drinks for all participants.
• Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 runners in 10-year age groups for the 5k walk, 5k run, and 10k.

💰 Fundraising Opportunities

• Individual Fundraiser: Raise additional funds for New Day Mississippi with a $50 minimum to earn a free race entry.
• Team Fundraising: Create a team fundraising effort with a $250 minimum for free entry for up to five team members.
• Registration Process: You can do this during the normal registration process, just follow the prompts.
• T-Shirts: T-shirts will be given to everyone who registers no later than 5/15.
