Families Run for Ovarian Cancer ROC Star 5k & 1-Mile Run/Walk

Race Overview

Are you ready to ROC? Join us for the 20th annual Families Run for Ovarian Cancer ROC Star Run/ Walk at Tower Grove Park! The ROC Star event was started in 2006 by the Jorgensen family as their wife, mother, and Nana, Brenda, fought her own battle with ovarian cancer. Sadly, she lost that battle in 2011 but the event continues to honor her spirit and to raise funds for ovarian cancer research and ongoing awareness programs through St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness.

Event Details

• Date: 2026-10-11
• Location: Sons of Rest Pavilion, Tower Grove Park, Saint Louis, MO
• Registration: Participants can register for a timed 5k run/ walk or a 1-mile fun run/ walk.
• ROC from Home: If you can't join us in person, you can ROC from Home! Event shirts for ROC from Home participants will be mailed AFTER the in-person event with an added shipping charge of $5.

Family and Community Activities

• Friendly Atmosphere: The event is family and dog-friendly.
• Survivor Ceremony: A special ceremony to honor ovarian cancer survivors in attendance.
• Activities: Enjoy music by TKO DJs, roaming selfie stations, visits from Fredbird and Louie, and the beloved Bubble Bus.
• New Additions: Participate in yard games like cornhole, Connect Four, Tetris Tumble, and more from STL Game Rentals!

Food and Refreshments

• Morning Treats: Donuts and bananas will be available.
• Coffee: Coffee and specialty drinks will be available for purchase from Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck.
• Sweet Treats: Kona Ice will provide complimentary sweet treats after the race starts.
• Food Options: Complimentary hot dogs and chips from K's Unique Dogs while supplies last, plus beer for our 21+ ROC Stars from Fallon’s Bar & Grill.

Special Highlights

• Survivor Ceremony: Registered survivors will be recognized by name and receive a flower as they come forward, followed by a group photo.
• Honor & Memory Wall: Participants can attach a photo, write a message, or share an inspiring quote at the "In Honor and Memory" wall. Materials will be provided by SLOCA.
• Photos: Feel free to bring your own photos for the memory wall, but please note that materials cannot be returned.
