Overview

• One mountain: The site of an epic challenge.
• One title: Who will be the Toughest on the Mountain?
• One belt: A title belt will be contested and must be defended.
• Elevation: 3,000 feet up, and back down, with the option for those daring enough to go up again.

Course Details

• Distance: ~6 miles per loop.
• Vertical gain: ~3,000 ft.
• Climb: Steep, relentless climbing.
• Descent: Technical descent awaits.

Choose Your Division

• Gauntlet (Single Loop): One ascent. One descent. A pure test of pacing, strength, and grit.
• Double Gauntlet (2 Loops): Up. Down. Then do it again. This is where the title is decided.
• Gauntlet Relay (2-Person Team): Split the work between two partners.
• Ruck Division: Complete the course with extra weight.

Standards & Rules

• Men: 35 lb ruck (dry weight, not including water).
• Women: 20 lb ruck (dry weight).
• Weight Checks: Random checks at start and finish.
• Challenge: A different kind of suffering.

The Belt: Toughest on the Mountain

• Reward: The fastest finisher in the Double Gauntlet earns a championship belt.
• Defending Champion: The winner must return the following year to defend.
• Title: The title is transferred if the champion does not return or is beaten.
• Annual Question: Who will be the Toughest on the Mountain?
