Join us on May 16, 2026, at 17630 Lookout Rd, Selma, TX for a fun and meaningful annual event hosted by Gabriella’s Smile Foundation. This family-friendly event welcomes kids ages 0-14 as official participants.

Event Overview

• Purpose: Support pediatric cancer families and raise awareness.
• Distance: Scenic 5K course for runners, walkers, and strollers.
• Finish Line Treat: Every participant receives a delicious cupcake!
• Community Focus: Celebrate hope, resilience, and community spirit.

Beneficiaries

All proceeds from this event directly benefit pediatric cancer families, providing financial assistance, support programs, and resources for those facing a childhood cancer diagnosis. Join us for a day filled with energy, smiles, and of course—cupcakes!

About the Race

• In Honor: Named after Gabriella Elise Torres, who battled DIPG.
• First of Its Kind: Awareness for pediatric brain cancer in San Antonio.
• Acknowledge: Part of Brain Tumor Awareness Month.
• Legacy: Remembering Gabriella’s spirit and her fight against cancer.

Entry Fees

In person and virtual options are available for adults and kids.

• In-Person Registration:
  • $25 through March 31
  • $30 through May 13
  • $35 late registration May 14-16 (limited in-person registration)
  • $20 Kids 0-14
• Virtual Runner Registration:
  • $30 through April 17
  • $20 Kids 0-14
  • Packets mailed after the event.

Packet Pick-Up

• Date & Time: Thursday, May 14 TBD.
• Location: Children’s Cancer Support Center, San Antonio, TX.
• Race Day: Available starting at 6:30 AM.
• Important: Unpicked packets will not be mailed.

Race Day Schedule

• 7:55 AM: Welcome by GSF, introduction of Emcee.
• 8:00 AM: Pre-Race Program starts.
• 8:30 AM: Race starts.
• No refunds: In case of cancellation or inability to attend.

Awards

• Overall Awards: $150 for 1st Place Male and Female.
• Second Place: $75 for Male and Female Finishers.
• Third Place: $25 for Male and Female Finishers.
• Age Group Awards: Recognition for first place in multiple age brackets.

Event Certification

Gabriella's 5K Cupcake Run is a USATF sanctioned event. This designation allows for national and age-group records eligibility.

*The event will go on rain or shine unless unsafe weather conditions occur. No refunds will be given in case of cancellation due to unsafe weather conditions or other uncontrollable reasons.
