GCS Education Foundation 5K Turkey Trot

Event Overview

The Greeneville City Schools (GCS) Education Foundation invites you to participate in the 11th Annual GCSEF Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning and participate in a local, healthy, holiday tradition.

Race Details

• Date: 2025-11-27
• Time: Join us at 8am at Burley Stadium! Race day registration begins at 6:45am.
• Registration: Participants registering before November 12 will be guaranteed a race shirt.
• Location: 210 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN

Purpose

This family-friendly event supports education in Greeneville City Schools while encouraging health and wellness. Funds raised through the Turkey Trot benefit the Greeneville City Schools Education Foundation (GCSEF), a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that provides funding for innovative projects in GCS that reach beyond the scope of the school system’s regular operating budget.

Participation Challenge

• Prize: The Greeneville City School with the highest percentage of participation will receive a cash prize.
• Last Year’s Winner: Eastview Elementary School won the school participation challenge and received $500 to benefit Physical Education programming.
