Join us in Jonesboro, Maine on Saturday, July 11, for the 6th Annual Crush Cancer Lobster Crawl 5K walk/run & Kids Dash

Schedule

Kids Dash: 8:30 AM
5k Walk/Run: 9:00 AM
10K: On hold for 2026, planned to return in 2027.
Virtual Participants: Packets will be mailed after the live event. No in-person pickup.

Race Location

Race location: Municipal Landing on Evergreen Point Road in Jonesboro.

Race Course

Kids Dash: The course is an out and back route on a dead end road.
5K Walk/Run: The course features scenic views of the Chandler River.

Participant Information

Items Provided: Participants will receive a bib, medal, and cotton shirt.
Shirt Deadline: Register before June 13 to receive a shirt.
Claiming Materials: All race material must be picked up prior to the conclusion of the event on July 11. Any unclaimed material will be donated to cancer warriors.
Event Rules: Race is held rain or shine! No refunds and no bib transfers. No dogs allowed due to a portion of the course being on private property.

Kids Dash

The race will NOT be timed. No awards for the kids run.

Awards

Awards for the 5K will be:

Overall: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place (male & female)
Age Groups: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for male and female divisions in various age categories from 14 and younger to 90+.

Sarah's House Wishlist

We will once again be collecting wishlist items for Sarah's House. A table will be set up near check-in for items to be placed on. Representatives from Sarah's House will take items back on race day.

Fun Stuff

Lobster Attire: Wear your best lobster outfit to be entered in our "lobster lottery".
Local Support: The event is made possible by the generosity of local businesses and volunteers.
Fundraising: Create a fundraiser page! The top fundraising team and individual will be recognized.
Honor & Remember: Make a poster to honor/remember your loved one: submit it to Jonesboro Grange by July 9, 2026.

Why Crush Cancer?

The Crush Cancer 5k race was created by siblings Rebekah Hodgson and Andrew Cox after their father was diagnosed with bladder cancer. The race aims to bring others together and give back to those facing cancer.

Race Beneficiaries

This is a charity race sponsored by local non-profit, Jonesboro Grange #357. All money raised will be donated to Sarah's House of Maine and the Christine B Foundation.
