What is a Zombie 5 K Run?

• Course: Runners will endure a 5 K run/walk through a zombie-infested course.
• Challenge: Test your speed, endurance, and strength while trying to avoid ravenous zombies!
• Flags: Runners will wear a flag (provided) on one side of their waist (like flag football). These flags represent zombie health.
• Objective: Zombies will try to steal those flags throughout the course.

Event Mission

• Purpose: The 5 K Zombie Run was founded to celebrate happiness, healthiness, and friendship!
• Focus: Our mission is not about mile markers, but about memories made.
• Inspiration: We hope our 5K run will be an inspiration for healthy living.
• Timing: Those wishing for a run time must submit their phone numbers: the runner’s time will be provided through this method.

Special Features of the 5 K Zombie Run

• Fundraising: This 5 K Zombie Run is a fundraising event for the Roseburg Optimist Club.
• Proceeds: 100% of the proceeds go to the Roseburg Optimist Club to support children’s events in Douglas County.
• Impact: Your participation in the 5 K Zombie Run makes a difference!

Race Amenities

• Free T-shirt: All participants will receive a FREE 5 K Zombie Run T-shirt.
• Finisher Medallion: A commemorative finisher medallion will be awarded to healthy racers and infected racers.
• Provided Items: A race bib, a flag, and snacks at the finish of the race will be provided by Thrive Umpqua.
• Infected Racers: Infected racers are those who lost their flag to a zombie during the race.

• Date: The Zombie Run will take place on Saturday, October 17th.
• Location: Stewart Park, 1003-2058 Stewart Park Dr, Roseburg, OR.
• Check-in Time: 8:00 am.
• Race Start: The race starting at 9:00 am.
