Event Description

• Returning Event: Back again for 2026, the Paint the Downtown 5K is one of the few 5Ks in the entire panhandle.
• Organizer: This race is promoted by the Broadway Brew Coffeehouse just like last year.
• Community Impact: This race is about cultivating a love for running while benefiting the community.
• Fundraising Goal: Paint the Downtown is a fun and exciting event that makes our downtown better through raising money for improvements (such as paint!).

Alternative Options

• 1 Mile Run/Walk: A 1 mile run/walk option - if you aren't keen on running 5km you can take advantage of a shorter route and still be a part of the event!
• Family Friendly: Invite your friends and bring the whole family.
• Virtual Race: A Virtual race option - If you can't make the race or aren't interested in running but still want a shirt, try out the new virtual option.
• Submit Your Time: You can always submit your 5k time from wherever you ran!

Participant Information

• T-Shirt Guarantee: Every participant that signs up before September 26th for either the 5k, 1 mile, or virtual option will get the 2026 Paint the Downtown t-shirt.
• Sign-Up Deadline: You won't be guaranteed a shirt if you sign up after that date but you can definitely still run in the race.
• Race Start Time: The 5k starts at 8:00 A.M. and the 1 mile immediately after at the Broadway Brew, 108 E 7th St., Plainview, TX.
• Packet Pickup: Packet pickup is at the Brew from 5-7 P.M. on October 2nd, the evening before the race.
