Green Lake Road Race

Location

• Address: 159 Lake Ave S, Spicer, MN
• Packet Pick Up: Zorbaz parking lot - look for tent
• Start of Race: Between Mel’s Sport Shop and the fishing access. Arrive 10 minutes early for pre-race meeting.

Description

• Race Type: The Green Lake Road Race is a 12 mile run that can be completed individually, as a 2-person relay or as a 4-person relay. Only the 12 mile run will be scored in the series.
• Start Time: Race start time is 7am.
• Pre-Race Meeting: Plan to be at the starting line ten minutes ahead of your start time for the pre-race meeting.
• Bib Number: You should have your bib number attached on the front of your shirt just above the waist to get the best read-rate.

Course Information

• Water Stops: Locations at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 mile marks. Gatorade available upon request.
• Cleanup: Trash cans will be spaced along the course. Please DO NOT drop cups on the course.
• Patrol: Two utility vehicles will be patrolling the course with extra water.
• Post-Race Refreshments: Available for each runner upon finishing the race.

Awards

• Results: Times will be available at www.pickleevents.com. Award winners will be posted online.
• Awards Presentation: Behind Zorbaz on the deck. Estimated time of 9:15 am.
• Awards: Medals for the top female and top male, as well as medals for places 1-3 in each division.

Special Instructions for the Relays

• Bus Service: Available for the relays, with the first bus stop in the Spicer Legion parking lot.
• Relay Drop Off: The bus will leave at 7:05 am, just after the race starts.
• Return Planning: If you do not wish to use the bus service, please plan your return trip to the finish line or home.
• Relay Exchange Points: Same locations as 2023: restrooms and water available at each exchange point.

Race Entry Includes

• Race Shirt: Guaranteed if registered by June 21st.
• Refreshments: After the race.

Race Day Schedule

• 6am: Packet Pick Up - Zorbaz parking lot, look for the tent.
• 7am: Race Starts - arrive to the start line 10 minutes before for a pre-race meeting.
• 7:05am: Relay bus takes off to drop off relay participants.
• 9:15am: Estimated start time for awards, behind Zorbaz on the deck.

Runners Shirts

• Shirt Guarantee: Runners pre-registered by June 21st will be guaranteed their shirt size.
• Post-Registration: After June 21st, shirts are available on a first come first served basis until sold out.

Divisions

• Categories: Men and Women divisions ranging from 10 and under to 85 and over.
• Family Division: Average time for 2 runners of the same family (A. Husband-Wife | B. Parent-Child | C. Brothers and/or Sisters).
• Relay Teams: 2-person, 4-person. No breakdown by gender or age.
• Times: Will be available at www.pickleevents.com.
