Green Lake Road Race

Location

• Address: 159 Lake Ave S, Spicer, MN
• Packet Pick Up: Zorbaz parking lot - look for tent
• Start of Race: Between Mel’s Sport Shop and the fishing access
• Arrival Time: Arrive 10 minutes early for pre-race meeting

Description

• Race Type: The Green Lake Road Race is a 12 mile run that can be completed individually, as a 2-person relay, or as a 4-person relay.
• Scoring: Only the 12 mile run will be scored in the series.
• Race Start: The race starts at 7am.
• Pre-Race Preparation: Plan to be at the starting line ten minutes prior for a pre-race meeting.

Bib Information

• Bib Placement: Your bib number should be attached on the front of your shirt just above the waist for best read-rate.
• Visibility: Bib numbers need to be visible when you cross the finish line.

Water Stops

• Locations: Water stops will be at the 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 mile marks.
• Gatorade: Available upon request.
• Trash Management: Trash cans will be spaced along the course: please do not drop cups on the course.
• Course Patrol: Two utility vehicles will patrol the course with extra water available on carts.

Post-Race Refreshments

• Availability: Refreshments will be available for each runner after finishing.
• Results: Times will be available at www.pickleevents.com.
• Awards Posting: Award winners will be posted online.

Awards Presentation

• Location: Awards presentation will be behind Zorbaz on the deck.
• Time: Estimated time of 9:15 am.

Special Instructions for Relays

• Bus Service: Available for the relays.
• First Bus Stop: Located in Spicer Legion parking lot, leaving at 7:05 am.
• Return Plans: If not using the bus, please plan your return trip to the finish line or home.
• Exchange Locations: Relay spots will be at the same locations as 2023 with restrooms and water available.

Race Entry Includes

• Race Shirt: Guaranteed if registered by June 22nd.
• Post-Race Refreshments: Available after the race.

Race Day Schedule

• 6am: Packet Pick Up - Zorbaz parking lot, look for the tent.
• 7am: Race Starts - arrive to the start line 10 minutes before for a pre-race meeting.
• 7:05am: The relay bus takes off to drop off relay participants.
• 9:15am: Estimated start time for awards, behind Zorbaz on the deck.

Runners Shirts

• Pre-Registration: Runners pre-registered by June 22nd will be guaranteed their shirt size.
• Post-Registration: After June 23rd, shirts are on a first come, first served basis until sold out.

Divisions

• Men's Age Groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85+.
• Women's Age Groups: Same as men's age groups above.
• Family Division: Average time for 2 runners of the same family (Husband-Wife, Parent-Child, Brothers/Sisters).
• Relay Teams: 2-person and 4-person teams with no breakdown by gender or age.

Awards

• Medals: Medals for the top female and top male.
• Places: Medals for places 1-3 in each division.
