47th Mike Sterling 10k/5k

Event Overview

Please join us for the 47th Annual Mike Sterling 10k Race / 5k Race / 10k Ruck to be held in Crisfield, MD during the annual National Hard Crab Derby. The race will begin and end at the Crisfield City Dock at the end of Rt. 413. Runners, walkers, and ruckers will enjoy a fast, flat course that meanders thru the City of Crisfield as well as the neighborhoods and along the waterfront outskirts. Water stops will be provided at three locations along our route.

Pricing Information

• Initial Price: $25 (until August 30, 2026)
• Price Increase: $35 (starting August 31, 2026)
• Race Day Price: $40 (on September 5, 2026)
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Register on or before August 1, 2026 to secure a t-shirt.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is Friday, September 4, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wellington Beach.

Important Reminders

• Incentive: Register by August 1st to receive a t-shirt and save money.
• Packet Pickup: Pick up before race day for added convenience.
• 10k Ruck: Participants carry a 20-pound weight: starts at 7:00 a.m.
• Race Format Change: The traditional 5k Walk has transformed into a 5k Race.

While we still wholeheartedly welcome participants who prefer to walk, there will no longer be a separate walking race. All participants are encouraged to take part in the 10k or 5k Race, regardless of their preferred pace.
