Event Purpose

• Support: The event raises money to support programming and exhibitions at RTPI.
• Celebration: The festivities celebrate Roger Tory Peterson's 118th birthday on August 28th.
• Proceeds: Proceeds from the Dash help keep Roger's legacy alive and well through Art That Matters to the Planet.
• Commitment: Since 1994, RTPI has been committed to fostering an appreciation for nature through exhibitions of Art That Matters to the Planet.

Post-Race Gathering

• Activities: Face painting, food trucks, lawn games, and refreshments.
• Environment: A fun atmosphere to relax after the race.
• Community: Engage with fellow participants and supporters.
• Family-Friendly: Activities suitable for all age groups.

Race Schedule

• Check-in: Starts at 8:00 AM on the day of the race.
• Race Start: The race will start at 9:00 AM.
• Divisions: There is a "Roadrunner" 10K run division, a "March of the Penguins" 5k fun run/walk division, and a 1 Mile "Duckling Dash" kids run on the grounds of RTPI.
