• Diagnosis: Chris received a life-altering diagnosis of Huntington’s Disease in 2020.
• Impact: HD affects approximately 41,000 individuals in the U.S. and has no cure.
• Manifestation: HD manifests as ALS, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s, leading to serious cognitive and physical decline.
• Awareness: Chris and his family launched Guzi’s Hunt for the Cure to raise awareness and funds for HD research and support.

👪 A Personal Journey with Huntington’s Disease

• Carley Renner: Chris’s daughter received news in 2023 that she carries the Huntington’s gene.
• Fertility Assistance: They received a grant for high-cost fertility assistance to ensure their biological children would be HD-free.
• New Beginnings: Carley and Nate have welcomed two healthy HD-free children.
• Foundation: They established Guzi’s Hunt for the Cure Foundation, Inc. to provide financial support to couples impacted by Huntington’s Disease.

• Mission: Dedicated to raising awareness about Huntington’s Disease and the benefits of pre-implantation genetic testing with IVF.
• Recent Achievement: The Khoury family welcomed a healthy baby boy in 2025.
• Grant Support: The foundation recently awarded its third grant to a deserving couple.
• Funding Needs: A single PGT-IVF journey can carry costs of $35,000+. Proceeds will support the foundation and HDSA-WI Chapter.
