Hagley 5K/1K Along the Brandywine

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: Join us for the seventh annual 5K/1K run/walk along the beautiful Brandywine River through Hagley Museum's 235 acres.
• Purpose: Proceeds from the run support Hagley’s field trip fund for area schools.
• Impact: The previous events collectively raised enough money for over 2100 students to visit Hagley.
• Theme: In 2025, we will be "Chasing the Sun," inspiring the young and young-at-heart to chase their goals.

👕 Dress Code

• Colors: Come to the 5K/1K dressed in shades of red, yellow, and orange: or your favorite sun costume.

⏰ Schedule

• 5K Start: The 5K starts at 8:30am, followed by the 1K Fun Run at 9:00am.
• Age Requirement: There is not an age requirement for either event.

🤝 Team Participation

• Encouragement: Corporate and community teams are encouraged.
• Create Teams: Click on the tabs above to either create or join a team!

📋 Bib Pick-up and Check-in

• Location: Day of event starting at 7:30am in front of the Hagley Library.

👫 Refer a Friend (or five)

• Invite: After registering, you will receive a unique URL to share with family and friends to encourage them to register.
• Discount: After five friends register using your unique URL, you will receive a $10 discount off your 5K fee OR a $5 discount off your 1K fee.

🏆 Age Groups and Awards

• Overall: Overall Male/Female.
• Top 3: Top 3 Male/Female in each age group:
• 14 and under
• 15-19
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60 and over
• Ceremony: An awards ceremony will take place around 9:30 near the finish line.

🏛️ Explore Hagley

• Open Time: Hagley Museum opens at 10am, so stay and explore the historic powder yards, first du Pont family home, and gardens.
• Free Admission: Your registration fee gives you free admission to Hagley for the week following the 5K/1K (through May 3, 2025).
