842 Main St, Albany VT
Sunday, June 7th, 2026
On Sunday, June 7th, join us for the seventh annual Genny Tenny fundraiser, a point-to-point dirt road race connecting the communities of Craftsbury and Albany! We'll be offering both a nearly 10-mile and a family-friendly 5-kilometer course options, including a walk category for the 5k.
The almost 10-mile run loosely connects the two Gennys, starting in Craftsbury Village on Creek Road and ending in Albany village on Water Street. The 5k course will start at the top of Pitkin Rd (near mile 7 of the 10-mile course) and will also finish at the Albany Genny.
Online registration required, closing at 6pm on Saturday, June 6. Day-of registration may be available based on internet connectivity.
There will be 2 aid stations on the 10-mile course at miles 3.9 and 7. We are using re-usable cups to make this a low-waste event.
Parking will be available at the Albany School. Shuttles will only run before the race to take runners to the start locations.
If you would like to help out without running, we need volunteers! Sign up to volunteer and enjoy a tasty lunch as a thank you.
Every small vital community in Vermont has at its center a general store. In 2014, the Albany General Store was lost to a fire and stood empty for years. The Albany Community Trust was formed to restore the store as a vital building block for the prosperity of the town, and it re-opened in June 2021.
