Chick-Fil-A Turkey Trot

Event Overview

This 5K or 1 mile is great for families, friends, and communities of all skill levels. ALL ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US FOR THIS FREE COMMUNITY EVENT!

Parking

• Parking Availability: Lots of parking available downtown!
• Street Closures: Elm St. between 4th and 3rd will be shut down during the race for our finish line: please do not park there.
• Convenient Locations: The Downtown Square, 3rd St., Chestnut St., and Courthouse Parking lot are all convenient to start and finish lines.

Pre-Registration Details

• Shirt Pickup: Shirts will be handed out the morning of the Turkey Trot, starting at 7 am.
• Pickup Process: Follow signs to the pre-registration shirt pickup area with 5 pickup lines based on LAST name.
• Size Confirmation: The shirt size picked at registration is the size that you will be given.
• Additional Time: Use all that free time to browse around 219 Elm, buy a hot chocolate, or stretch so you don't pull something.

Day of Signups

• Registration Location: Go to Downtown Lumberton, under the UNC Health Pavilion.
• Waiver Requirement: Waivers will need to be signed.
• Shirt Availability: A limited number of shirts available for Day-Of Participants on a first come, first served basis.
• Size Guarantee: Cannot guarantee sizes for Day-Of Participants.

Course and Run Details

• Course Information: The 5K route and 1 mile route are marked with directional signs and spray painted turn signs.
• Route Characteristics: The course is very flat with one slightly downhill section near the river.
• Safety Reminder: Please be careful of slipping if it’s wet or if there are leaves!
• Starting Line: We will head over from the Downtown Square/Pavilion to our starting line on Chestnut Street at 8 AM.

Post-Race Activities

• Photo Opportunities: We will have some photo opportunities at the finish line.
• Snacks: Fun snacks will be available post run.
• Recovery Items: There will be post run recovery items at the finish line.

Start your Thanksgiving Day the healthy way at the Annual Turkey Trot 5K, hosted by the Robeson Road Runners! This fun, family-friendly event brings together runners and walkers of all ages to celebrate fitness, community, and gratitude before the big feast.

Whether you’re racing for a personal best or enjoying a brisk walk with friends and family, the Turkey Trot is the perfect way to kick off your holiday. Each participant who registers before November 12th will be guaranteed a fun Turkey Trot shirt!
