Texas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k

Race Overview

We invite you to join us for the 3rd Annual Texas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k.

Options Available

• Challenge: Want a challenge? Run the Half Marathon.
• Team Relay: Want to get a team together to relay? Grab your friends, find your team shirts or costumes!
• Solo Option: You can also run the 5K solo.
• Participant Perks: Participants receive a Texas finisher medal, an awesome Texas theme shirt and delicious Texas barbecue food post race.

Important Information

• Time Limit: TIME LIMIT FOR THE HALF MARATHON IS 4 HOURS.

Relay Info

You will be prompted to join an existing Relay Team or create a new Relay Team during the registration process. Registration fee is a per person fee. All team members must register separately.

Relay Categories

• Open: All male, all female, or co-ed, any age.
• Masters: All male, all female, or co-ed, ages 40+.
• Super Masters: All male, all female, or co-ed, ages 50+.
• Mixed X: 3 female, 1 male, any age.
• Mixed Y: 3 males, 1 female, any age.
• Military:

Schedule of Events

• 7:15 AM: HALF MARATHON AND 2-PERSON RELAY START
• 7:20 AM: 4-PERSON RELAY START
• 7:30 AM: 5K START
• 8:30 AM: 5K AWARDS
• 9:45 AM: RELAY 1/2 MARATHON AWARDS
• 10:00 AM: HALF-MARATHON AWARDS

Virtual Race Option

The Virtual Texas Sun Showdown 5K and Half Marathon are races that you can run or walk from any location and route. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

Registration Details

Signup, download and print your race bib, complete the run and submit your results. When you submit your time, you will also be able to download, print and/or share your Finisher's Certificate. Complete your race and submit your results between: June 15, 2026 12:00 am- June 30, 2026 11:59 pm.
