Race Description
The Joy Run for Autism 5K is a fun, family-friendly community run/walk hosted by Joyful Journey Behavioral Services on August 23rd at Markham Park. This event was created to bring families, local businesses, and community members together in support of children and families navigating autism while raising funds for a nonprofit autism organization.
Event Highlights
- Course: Scenic 5K course
- Awards: Finisher medals and awards for top runners
- Activities: Complementary coffee sponsored by JC Beans, kids’ activities, sensory-friendly spaces, and an obstacle course
- Special Guests: Visit from the firefighter department
Fundraising Purpose
All proceeds from the race will be donated to a nonprofit autism organization dedicated to providing services, resources, and support to families in need.
