2026 PRESENTING SPONSOR

The challenge returns for 2026!

• Event Schedule: The Huntersville Holiday 5k will start on Friday night at 7:00 pm.
• Half Marathon & 10K: Both events will start on Saturday morning at 8:00 am.
• Bundle Events: This schedule allows runners to participate in two events if they are ready for the challenge.
• Registration Reminder: Please be very careful while registering and ensure you register for the correct event or challenge.

Cash Prizes

• Half Marathon Prizes: 1st Place $150: 2nd Place $115: 3rd Place $85 for both Male & Female.
• 10K Prizes: 1st Place $125: 2nd Place $75: 3rd Place $50 for both Male & Female.
• 5K Prizes: 1st Place $75: 2nd Place $50: 3rd Place $25 for both Male & Female.
• Age Group Prizes: Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age group (male and female).

Ruck Division

• Participation Requirement: Participants must carry a weighted rucksack or backpack.
• Weight Minimum: Minimum 10 lbs for women and 20 lbs for men.
• Excitement: BACK AGAIN!
• Challenge: Experience a new level of fun and competition.

Hoodies & T-shirts

• Half Marathon: Participants registered by December 1st will receive a fleece hoodie or long sleeve technical shirt in their requested size.
• 10K Participants: Registered by December 1st will receive a t-shirt in their requested size.
• Holiday 5K Participants: Registered by December 1st will guarantee a long sleeve cotton shirt in their requested size.
• Medals: All runners will receive a medal upon finishing: challenge runners will receive an additional challenge medal.

Speed For Need

• Mission: Empower community members affected by disability or disease through participation in fitness events.
• Track Commanders: High Impact Men (HIM) push participants in specialized racing chairs.
• Community Impact: Raises awareness and financial support for local charities.

Refund/Transfer/Deferment Policy

• Refund Policy: The event maintains a NO REFUND policy.
• Transfer Policy: Transfers from one runner to another and from event to event (change distance) are allowed.
• Deferment Policy: Allows deferment from one year to the next, but requests must be documented via email.
• Important Dates: The deferment window closes on December 1st: a $10 fee will apply for deferred registration next year.
