Heart & Sole Half Marathon/10K/5K

Event Overview

On Saturday, September 26th this year’s race will be starting and ending our race again at the NEA Baptist Hospital. Changes will be coming. Follow our Heart and Sole Half Marathon 5K 10k Facebook Page to stay informed of changes being made. Runners will be excited!

Course Details

• Certification: USTAF certified 13.1, 10K and 5K courses
• Terrain: A mix of rolling hills and flat areas
• Course Support: Well marked with volunteers and police presence
• Safety: Police will be present at highly traveled intersections and leading the 13.1 race

Participant Guidelines

• Half-Marathon: Must sign up as runners. 3 1/2 hour time limit, which is a 16 minutes/mile. If you start at 7:00am and are not keeping the pace, you will be asked to come off the course.
• 5K Categories: Has walking and running categories. If you sign up as a Walker, you must walk the entire way. If you plan to jog or run even a little bit, you need to sign up as a Runner.
• Hydration: Powerade, water & food will be throughout the course
• Personal Supplies: Participants can have their own water/food with them

Important Registration Dates

• 10K & HALF RUNNERS: LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE YOUR GUARANTEED MEDAL AT THE FINISH LINE IS AUGUST 14th. 5K PARTICIPANTS DO NOT RECEIVE MEDALS.
• ALL PARTICIPANTS: LAST DAY TO RECEIVE A T-SHIRT IS SEPTEMBER 11th.

• Half-Marathon:
  • 6:15 am Half Marathon out of County/State Packet Pickup
  • 7:00 am Half-Marathon Race Start
• 10K:
  • 6:45 am 10K out of County/State Packet Pickup
  • 7:15 am 10K Race Start
• 5K:
  • 7:15 am 5K out of County/State Packet Pickup
  • 8:00 am 5K Race Start
• All Participants:
  • 8:30 Brunch will begin serving

• Race registrations are non-refundable and not transferrable.
• Request to change race categories will not be done after August 30.
• Race will take place rain or shine.

• Our featured Hotel is Courtyard by Marriott, which is directly across from NEA Baptist. The Heart & Sole room rate is $99. This will include fruit and granola bars for you to grab before you leave for the race on Saturday morning.
