On August 19, 1975: Officer Maldonado made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the City of Firebaugh. Nearly 50 years later: His courage, dedication, and commitment to protecting our community continue to inspire us.

This event is more than a race. It is a chance for family, friends, neighbors, and supporters to come together to ensure Officer Maldonado’s legacy lives on.

• Proceeds: From this memorial event will fund scholarships for graduating seniors from Firebaugh High School who are pursuing higher education.
