Tear Drop Half Marathon, 10K & 5K
Lace up your sneakers, lean forward and get ready for the 13th Annual Tear Drop Half Marathon! If you’re looking for a fast and scenic half marathon then join us on Sunday, April 25, 2027!
Event Details
- Date: April 25, 2027
- Location: 400 N 2nd Ave, Chatsworth, GA
- Website: Tear Drop Race
- Participants: Record crowd of over 600 in 2026!
Course Information
- Elevation: Starts on top of Fort Mountain near 3000 feet, finishing in Chatsworth.
- Drop: Over 2000-foot drop for the Half Marathon.
- Certification: All courses (13.1, 10K, 5K) are USAT&F certified.
- Terrain: All paved roads with multiple downhill sections.
Race Extras
- Medals: Beautiful CUSTOM medals for all event finishers.
- T-Shirts: Every participant will receive a short sleeve t-shirt.
- Post-Race: Enjoy live music, hot food, and cold drinks.
- Raffles: Great raffle prizes for all participants!
Schedule
- Start Times: 7:30 am for Half, 8:05 am for 10K, 8:15 am for 5K.
- PARKING: At finish with private shuttles to start.
- Registration: Bib t-shirt pick-up on April 24 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
- Shuttle Service: Buses from City Park to Fort Mountain starting at 6:00 am.
Course Support
- Water Stops: 4 stations for Half, 2 for 10K, 1 for 5K.
- Bathrooms: Available at all start areas and water stations.
- SAG Vehicle: A vehicle will follow the last runner for support.
- Transfers: Distance changes allowed until midnight April 25.
Awards & Recognition
- Finishers: All will receive a beautiful medal.
- Age Group Awards: For Half, 10K, and 5K.
- Overall Winners: Plaques for top male/female in Half marathon.
- Photos: TrueSpeed Photos will provide race day photographs.
Food & Charity
- Food: Hot dogs, veggie dogs, snacks, and cold drinks available.
- Live Music: Enjoy the performance from 9 am to 11 am.
- Charity Partner: Murray Arts Council, supporting local arts.
- Support: Over $12,000 raised for local arts in Chatsworth area.
Important Notes
- Drop-Off: Allowed only for Half marathon from 6:30-7:15 am at Overlook Inn.
- No Personal Drop-Off: For 10K and 5K due to road safety.
- Race Day Registration: Not available: sign-up online by Saturday.
- Parking: All vehicles must park at City Park, no parking at race start.
