Welcome to Stop 11: Lincoln, a 6.6K run/walk through one of the most iconic Route 66 landmarks in Illinois: the towering Railsplitter Covered Wagon, with Abraham Lincoln reading atop it. This stop blends Americana, history, and heart into a powerful chapter of our statewide journey.

Purpose

This series stands in solidarity with Enric Casacuberta, who is running the entire Illinois stretch of Route 66 solo to honor those living with ALS.

• Shared Segment: At each stop, participants join Enric for a 2.1-mile shared “Sidekick” segment — a symbolic reminder that no one travels this road alone.
• Visual Impact: Lincoln is one of the most visually striking meet-up points, where courage, community, and history converge.
