This run is benefiting the Anahuac Engineering Design Class.
Student Achievements
- Innovative Projects: Students have the opportunity to build rockets that carry a one-pound payload to an altitude of one mile, break the sound barrier, or travel at Mach 1.25.
- High Altitude Goals: They have attempted to reach an altitude of 50,000 ft, which was tested by the Army, at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
- Historic Firsts: Students from this class have completed world firsts, such as the first student-built rocket to be tested with FAA approval at an American airshow.
- Unique Events: They were also the first to drag race rockets at an airshow.

This class is 95% self-funded through grants, fundraising, and event hosting.
