The Hampden Township Veterans Recognition Committee (HTVRC) is a 501c (3) non profit organization committed to honoring veterans past, present and future.

Purpose of the Event

The goal of the Run to Remember is to bring our community together on Memorial Day weekend to honor those who died in the defense of our country. The Run to Remember is a 3-mile run/walk through the Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial grounds, a landmark veterans memorial located off of Interstate 81 in Hampden Township, Pennsylvania.

Proceeds and Community Support

• Funding: Proceeds from the event will go towards funding the committees’ programs.
• Support: Funding includes direct assistance to Pennsylvania National Guard service members and their families.
• Scholarships: Opportunities for local High School Seniors.
• Enhancements: Continued commitment to expand and enhance the Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial.

Race Day Information

• Registration: Race day registration starts at 7am.
• Start Time: The race will kick off at 8:45am.
• Memorial Day Service: Join us at 11 am for the Township’s annual Memorial Day Service.
