Race Overview

HOSTED BY WESTERN ARKANSAS RUNNERS- OUR ANNUAL FROZEN BUNS FUN RUN IS COMING UP SOON AND WE HOPE THAT YOU ARE READY TO JOIN US ON NEW YEARS DAY 2027 !! WE ALWAYS HAVE SUCH A GREAT TIME AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING YOUR COMPANY AGAIN.

Event Details

• Date: January 1, 2027
• Location: 7000 Taylor Avenue, Suite 1, Fort Smith, AR
• Distance: 5K (Feel free to add those additional miles afterwards)
• Finishers Award: All runners will receive a finishers award and a T-shirt if you register by December 13th.

Post-Race Festivities

• Food: After the race is over, enjoy hot chocolate, varieties of chili, and other food items.
• Drinks: Bring your favorite spirits to share and enjoy with your fellow runners, friends, and family.
• Volunteers: If you are unable to run, please volunteer or encourage family members to help.
• Volunteer Registration: There is a page while registering for volunteer spots.

Weather Considerations

• Fire Pit: If weather requires, we will have the fire pit blazing to keep warm outside.
• Building Warmth: Inside we will have some warmth in our wonderful building.
• Event Updates: Watch for updates: however, the event will take place unless extreme weather conditions arise.
• Tradition: This race started 12 years ago during a frigid winter, and we carry on the tradition each New Year's Day.

Merchandise and Membership

• Previous Years T-Shirts: Bring some cash to purchase previous years long sleeve T-shirts for bargain prices as low as $5.00.
• Membership: Renew your Western Arkansas Runners Club membership for $20.00 for individuals and $35.00 for family.

Packet Pickup

• Early Packet Pickup: Thursday, December 31, at WAR BLDG 7020 Taylor Ave, FSM.
• Day of Pickup: Begins at 4:00 PM.
