Kiwanis 5K Color Run and Pancake Festival

Event Overview

On Saturday September 5th, 2026, the Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches is hosting its annual 5k Color Run and Pancake Festival, benefiting the club's service project funds. The event will start at the Northwestern State University’s Collins Family Pavilion (between Turpin Stadium and Prather Coliseum).

Race Schedule

• 1-Mile Fun Run: Starts at 7:45am with overall top 3 receiving placement medals.
• 5K Color Run: Begins at 8:00am, with volunteers throwing color at participants along the route.
• Medals for Winners: Overall top 3 race winners will receive medals, along with top 3 in age groups: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

Pancake Breakfast

• Time: Available from 7am - 11am.
• Cost: Free pancakes for all guests!
• Menu: Includes delicious pancakes, sausage, and your choice of beverage (Milk, Coffee, Apple Juice, or Orange Juice).

Kids Zone

A free Kids Zone will be setup with face painting and bounce houses.

Fundraising Purpose

This event is the primary fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches, supporting its service budget. Project examples include:

• Terrific Kids program: Focused on recognizing student achievements.
• K-Kids Clubs: Active at area elementary schools.
• Builders Clubs: Engaged in area middle schools.
• Community Support: Dry cleaning for school uniforms and coat donation drives, literacy projects, and more.
