Downingtown Good Neighbor Day - Firetrucks and Fireworks 2027

Event Overview

Downingtown Good Neighbor Day benefits the Fire and rescue squads within the Downingtown Area School District. Good Neighbor Day is an all-day event that starts with the Run for Life 5K, 10K, 15K or 5K Freedom Walk. Approximately 2,000 athletes participate each year. Throughout the day you can enjoy fabulous food, visit 80-100 craft exhibitors or simply enjoy one of the many activities scheduled for the day. The day is capped off with a Fireworks Grand Finale that starts at dusk.

Run for Life Events

Runner Information

• Pick-Up: Runner's Bibs and GND T-shirt Pick-up at the Gazebo in Kerr Park - July 3rd from 10 AM till 7 PM, July 4th from 6:00 AM till 7:50 AM
• Race Start: 8:00 AM
• Finishers' Awards: Medals for 1st three male and female finishers in each category

5K Freedom Walk

• Registration: GND T-shirts for registered walkers.
• Family Friendly: This is a FUN walk! Families are encouraged and strollers are just fine!
• Start Time: Walk starts at 8:00 AM behind the runners.

Kids K Fun Run

• Medals: awarded to all finishers
• T-Shirts: for all entrants
• Race Start: Race starts at 10:00 AM
