Downingtown Good Neighbor Day - Firetrucks and Fireworks 2027

Event Overview

Downingtown Good Neighbor Day benefits the Fire and rescue squads within the Downingtown Area School District. Good Neighbor Day is an all-day event that starts with the Run for Life 5K, 10K, 15K or 5K Freedom Walk. Approximately 2,000 athletes participate each year. Throughout the day you can enjoy fabulous food, visit 80-100 craft exhibitors or simply enjoy one of the many activities scheduled for the day. The day is capped off with a Fireworks Grand Finale that starts at dusk.

• West Bradford Fire Company: Community protection services.

Run for Life Details

• Prize Money: $100 to top male and female runners.
• T-shirts: GND T-shirts for all registered runners.
• Medals: Commemorative 250th Medal for ALL runners!
• Finisher Awards: Medals for 1st three male and female finishers in each category.
• Bib and T-shirt Pickup: At the Gazebo in Kerr Park - July 3rd from 10 AM till 7 PM, July 4th from 6:00 AM till 7:50 AM.
• Race Start Time: 8:00 AM.

Age Groups

Participants are categorized as follows: 7 & Under, 8-10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.

5K Freedom Walk

• Walk Benefits: GND T-shirts for registered walkers.
• Event Nature: This is a FUN walk! Families are encouraged and strollers are just fine!
• Walk Start Time: Begins at 8:00 AM behind the runners.

Kids K Fun Run

• Medals: Awarded to all finishers.
• T-shirts: For all entrants.
• Race Time: Starts at 10:00 AM.
• Entry Fee: Entry Fee is Non-refundable.
