The 24th annual Jog into Spring - All proceeds benefit Renee Fontana Roche Memorial Scholarship/Garden Fund and Living Classroom

Location

Race begins and ends at the Independence Civic Center, 6363 Selig Rd., Independence – Brecksville Rd., West on Selig and turn right onto Kathy Lynn Drive. The Civic Center is on the left-hand side. Parking is available at the site.

Start Time

• Registration/Packet Pick Up: 8:00am
• 5k Run and 1 Mile Walk: 9:00am

• 5K Run/Walk: Chip Timed
• 1 Mile Walk: Untimed

Pre-Registration

• Deadline: By 9am on Friday, April 24
• Fee: $25.00
• Family Rate: $70 for 4 people from the same address
• Mailing Deadline: All entries must be received by Wednesday, April 15, 2026

Late Registration

• Deadline: After 9am on Friday, April 24
• Fee: $30

Race Day Registration/Packet Pick Up

• Time: 8:00am
• Events: 5k Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk at 9:00am

Participants Receive

• T-shirt: Registration includes a t-shirt: register by April 13 to guarantee your shirt on race day!
• Refreshments: Provided at the finish line.
• Raffle Ticket: Included with registration.
• Donations: Donations can be made through online registration or via print form.

Raffle and Prizes

Additionally, there will be a raffle on-site with prizes from local restaurants, movie theaters, and sponsoring companies. The Grand Prize will be provided by Diamonds Direct.

Awards

• Overall Awards: Top Overall Male and Female runners.
• Age Group Awards: Top three in each age group.
• Age Groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
• Medals: Winners must retrieve their medals at the Independence Middle School if not present at the conclusion of the race.

Virtual Run

Want to participate from out of town? You still can! Complete the 5K race or 1 mile walk on your own, outdoors or on a treadmill – you choose!

• Submitting Results: Click HERE to submit your 5K result: deadline is Wednesday, April 29.
• Participants: Can live anywhere: friends and family are encouraged to join.
• T-shirt Mailing: Shirts will be mailed prior to race week if registered by April 6.
• Photo Opportunities: Wear your shirt and take photographs of your virtual run/walk.
