Kaufman Turkey Trot 2026

Get ready to gobble up the miles! The Kaufman Turkey Trot returns this Thanksgiving morning for a fun-filled community tradition that kicks off the holiday with fitness, family, and festive spirit. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or just along for the post-race snacks, there's a spot for everyone at the starting line.

Held in the heart of Kaufman, TX, this family-friendly event features a timed 5K run/walk, a 1-mile fun run for all ages, music, photo ops, and plenty of holiday cheer. Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded for top finishers and best-dressed participants. Lace up your shoes, bring the whole crew, and make memories before the turkey hits the table!

More than just a race, the Turkey Trot supports The Center, a local nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals and families in our community through essential programs and services. VIP AND SLEEP-IN OPTIONS AVAILABLE!

VIP OPTION – VIP registration is limited to the first 10 registrants. This add-on includes VIP lounge access for you + up to 2 guests, with gourmet beverages and snacks, power station and VIP restrooms, plus VIP front row parking for one vehicle.

Sleep-In Registration - Opt for the sleep-in option in our 5K to support the cause and receive race goodies without needing to run...ideal for those who prefer to skip the actual getting up part or those who have scheduling conflicts. All sleep in registrants will receive a race shirt shipped directly to their front door - no attendance necessary.

PET COSTUME CONTEST

The Pet Costume Contest will be returning again this year so bring your pet in its most festival holiday attire for a chance to win a prize!

PACKET PICK UP

Packet pick up is available the day of the race, starting at 6am. However, we recommend utilizing our Packet Pick Up the day before, on Wednesday, November 25th 4pm-6pm in front of Latham's Bakery on the Kaufman Square. We expect record setting entries this year, so picking your packet up the day before is advised!
