Manotick Backyard Ultra

Race Overview

The new kid on the block in the world of Backyard Ultras for the SECOND year. An endurance race guaranteed to test the limits of anyone with the courage to step into the loop. A race not about speed but about who has the physical and mental grit to endure the longest. There is no second place, no finish line, just the end.

Race Location

Starting at the iconic 692 Coffee and Bar, the route will go through the beautiful and historic town of Manotick. Each loop for the Backyard Ultra will incorporate:

• Road and Trail Running: Experience a mix of terrains.
• Scenic Bridges: Cross over streams and enjoy the views.
• Parks: Run through green spaces.
• Tarmac: Endure running on hard surfaces.

Events

The 5K will welcome the competitive runner and the runner looking to challenge themselves. The Family 1K is a fun and exciting event for all ages and skill levels. Key points include:

• 5K Event: Open to competitive runners and challengers.
• Family 1K: Engaging for all ages and skill levels.
• Registration Fee Donation: 50% of fees from the Family 1K will be donated to the CHEO Children's Hospital - The Griffin Bell Golden Endowment Fund.
• Memorable Experience: Whether it's your first race or hundredth, it will be one to remember.

Race Day Schedule

• Race Kit Pickup: Friday 6pm - 7:30pm & Saturday 5am - 6:30am (Ultra) or 8:00am (1K & 5K).
• Ultra Marathon Start Time: 7:00am (Not chip timed) 2025's route - subject to change.
• 5km Race Start Time: 8:10am (Timed) 2025's route - Subject to change.
• Family 1km Race Start Time: 9:10 am (Not chip timed) 2025 route - subject to change.

Additional Information

Buff included in reg fee. Any registrations after Thursday September 24 at 12pm will NOT receive a buff.
