About Team Kopacz
- Mission: Team Kopacz is a 501(c)3 foundation supporting Parkinson’s Disease (PD) research.
- Success: After 7 years of a successful golf event raising over $250,000 for Parkinson’s research, the inaugural 5K Run/Walk raised $20,000.
- Purpose: Funds support Parkinson's exercise research at the University of Minnesota.
- Personal Connection: Jason, diagnosed at 36 with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease, uses exercise for symptom management.
Current Fundraising Efforts
- Support: This year, Team Kopacz is fundraising for the U of MN SPARX3 trial.
- Research Focus: The trial studies how different levels of exercise intensity affect PD symptoms and progression.
