About Team Kopacz

• Foundation: Team Kopacz is a 501(c)3 foundation supporting Parkinson’s Disease (PD) research.
• Fundraising: Raised over $250,000 for Parkinson’s research through a successful golf event over the last 7 years.
• Inaugural 5K: Last year’s 5K event raised $20,000 for Parkinson's exercise research at the University of Minnesota.
• Mission: To promote exercise as a key part of symptom management for those affected by PD.

Research Focus

• Jason's Journey: Jason was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease at age 36, emphasizing the importance of exercise in treatment.
• Current Trial: Fundraising supports the U of MN SPARX3 trial investigating exercise intensity and its effects on PD.
• Goal: To understand how different levels of exercise can benefit individuals with PD.
