Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run

Event Overview

This is the fifth annual Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run which raises funds to support the Valley Zoo Development Society. Last year, this family friendly run raised funds to adopt the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin and Goeldi's Monkey exhibits, as while as supporting the carnivore project at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Adopting an exhibit provides funds for improved habitats and enrichment materials and sponsoring the carnivore project supports the redevelopment of carnivore alley. This year we are excited to continuing supporting the Harbour Seals and work towards a larger commitment to the Carnivore project.

Race Distances

This run has a distance for the whole family to enjoy and features:

• 1 km: A short distance suitable for everyone.
• 2 km: An easy option for beginners.
• 5 km: A popular choice for regular runners.
• 10 km: A challenging route for experienced athletes.

Virtual Participation

Not in Edmonton, but still want to participate? We also have a virtual option:

• Choice of Distance: Run 1, 2, 5 & 10 km.
• Finisher Gift: All virtual participants will receive the same custom designed finisher gift in the mail.
