Since it's inaugural running in 2012, the Bridge to Bridge 4 mile race has become one of the premier running events in the area.

Post Race Celebration and Awards

The Post Race Celebration and Awards will be at the CEFCU Center Stage, 200 N. Water St, just North of the Peoria Riverfront Museum and Caterpillar Visitor Center.

Hot food is provided by the Olive Garden Italian Kitchen - Olive Garden's famous bread sticks and pasta (with choice of meat or vegetarian Marinara sauce), with soft drinks, water, Gatorade, and beer.... immediately after finishing the race.

Music will be provided by a live band.

Course Description

IDOT road work may again cause course changes, but, the race will start at RCO and running across the Illinois River into East Peoria. The default course starts on on the Rock Island Greenway Trail, across Water St from RC Outfitters ( 311 SW Water St, Peoria, Illinois 61602), at 7:00a.. The course runs South on the Rock Island Greenway Trail, turns right just before Commercial St, crossing Water Street, The course follows the Greenway up the hill , across Washington St, and on up to a hairpin turn and onto the Bob Michel Bridge pedestrian path over the Illinois River. Leaving the bridge, the route turns left onto the sidewalk, crosses Camp St (Just after the 1 and 3 mile markers), continues for a short distance and turns left onto the Riverfront Trail. The course follows the Riverfront trail along the River, under I74, and around to the Rear of Bass Pro. A short distance past the corner of the Bass Pro building, the Riverfront trail moves out onto the service road for several yards, before moving back onto the trail. The 2 mile mark , water stop, and turn around are at the end of the trail at the motel parking lot. From the turnaround, the course retraces the route back to the start/finish line at RCO on the Rock Island Greenway trail.

The 2025 course is the flattest, fastest course in Bridge to Bridge history.
