Mound Westonka Rotary - Spirit of the Lakes 5K

About the Event

Join us Saturday, July 18, 2026 for the inaugural Mound-Westonka Rotary Club Spirit of the Lakes Festival 5K — a brand-new tradition kicking off the final day of the Spirit of the Lakes Festival.

The race begins and ends at Lost Lake Commons in downtown Mound, with a flat, scenic out-and-back course along the Dakota Rail Regional Trail. Whether you're chasing a PR, walking with the family, or running your very first 5K, there's a spot at the starting line for you.

Cross the finish line, grab a snack, and stick around for the rest of the Spirit of the Lakes festivities — the perfect way to round out festival weekend.

All proceeds benefit the Mound Westonka Rotary Foundation, supporting local causes, scholarships, and community service projects right here in the Westonka area.

Registration Options

5K Run — $45 Chip-timed race, official race bib, and the inaugural Spirit of the Lakes Festival 5K commemorative shirt.

Kids 5K (12 & under) — $30 Chip-timed race and bib. Shirts available for purchase. Ages 7 & under register FREE — discount applied at checkout.

Family Fun Run/Walk — Everyone is welcome! Bring the kids, grandma & grandpa, the stroller, the whole crew.
